Eko Software and NACON have released a demo and detailed roadmap for the early access launch of their action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished. The early access version, available now until March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest, includes the prologue and first chapter. Players can choose from three unique heroes—the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian—each embarking on an adventure aided by four Vermplings, cooperative companions who join the fight. This initial release also features the innovative Bloodline Grid skill progression system, endgame hunting quests, and initial upgrades for the central hub city.
The developers have ambitious plans for the coming year. Spring updates will bring new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a brand-new endgame activity, and improved hub city features. Summer will introduce a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. By autumn, multiplayer support will arrive, alongside continued refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city mechanics.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players explore a world tainted by ancient dragon blood. Guide a legendary warrior on a quest to defeat monstrous creatures rising from the earth and confront the powerful Dragonlords behind the chaos. Progression is driven by character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution, all enhanced by the strategic customization offered by the Bloodline Grid system.
Dragonkin: The Banished enters Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
