Here's the official description:
In Civilization VII - VR, the world of Civilization comes alive as never before. The game map unfolds on a Command Table, allowing you to zoom out for a strategic overview or lean in to examine the intricate details of buildings and units, creating a truly immersive tabletop experience. Engage face-to-face with iconic world leaders around the Command Table, witnessing their reactions as you forge alliances or wage war throughout the ages.
Play in immersive virtual reality or mixed reality, seamlessly switching between the two. In VR, you're transported to an ornate museum overlooking a vista personalized to your chosen leader; in mixed reality, the Command Table adapts to your physical space. Detailed dioramas showcasing your gameplay achievements are viewable in The Archives, a museum room accessible in both VR and mixed reality. Beyond single-player, conquer the world in online multiplayer matches with up to three other Meta Quest 3 and 3S players.
The PC and console versions of Firaxis' 4X strategy sequel are currently available via early access, and player feedback on Steam has been vocal, citing concerns about the user interface, limited map variety, and missing features.
Firaxis has responded to this feedback, promising improvements to the UI, the addition of team-based multiplayer for cooperative play, and a greater variety of map types, among other enhancements.
In an interview with IGN preceding the release of third-quarter financial results, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged the negative reviews from both press and players, but expressed confidence that the "legacy Civ audience" would appreciate the game with more playtime, describing Civilization VII's early performance as "very encouraging."
