Freedom Wars Remastered features various damage types, each with unique effects. While Light Melee weapons target specific body parts, Impact Damage offers a distinct combat advantage. This guide explores Impact Damage's role in efficiently defeating Abductors.

Understanding Impact Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered

Impact Damage primarily affects Heavy Melee and certain Ranged weapons. The displayed Impact Damage percentage doesn't directly increase your overall damage output. Instead, it boosts the effectiveness of your standard attacks, significantly raising the Abductor's stagger rate. A fully charged stagger meter causes the Abductor to stagger, creating a prime opportunity for substantial damage before recovery.

The invisible stagger meter adds a layer of unpredictability. Offline play allows for strategic attack charging, maximizing damage. However, online, staggering an Abductor can hinder teammates' attacks. Some Abductors, such as Ramosa, react by moving, potentially complicating precise hit placement.

Boosting Stagger Damage in Freedom Wars Remastered

Unlocking the Weapon Development Facility is crucial for enhancing Stagger Damage. This facility enables weapon customization. Utilize the Manufacture Modules feature to create Stagger Damage Up Modules using Glassy Carbon (a common field resource). The Synthesise Modules function allows combining identical modules for increased effectiveness. Equipping these modules to your weapon directly increases Impact Damage and stagger capabilities.

Prioritize physical damage upgrades over elemental enhancements to maximize Impact Damage's effect on staggering enemies. This makes modules like Stagger Damage Up highly beneficial for players utilizing heavy melee weapons or ranged weapons with inherent stagger potential.
