Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile Unveiled by HandyGames

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile port is currently in beta testing.

Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?

While some graphical compromises are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware, the core gameplay and DLC will be included in the mobile version post-launch. THQ Nordic and HandyGames are aiming for a soon release. A closed beta test has been announced via a tweet, with a signup form available on their official X account for interested players.

A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?

Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave authentically, reacting to your presence and actions. The game features vast open-world environments inspired by the US and Europe, providing a 55-square-mile hunting ground.

A range of realistic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, are available. Advanced tracking features, including blood splatter analysis and animal sign tracking, aid in securing trophies. Watch the gameplay trailer below:

The game's ecosystem is dynamic; your actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows you to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are featured, with full controller support planned for the mobile version.
