Marvel Rivals Unveils New Invisible Woman Skin: Malice
Marvel Rivals is set to launch Season 1: Eternal Night Falls on January 10 at 1 AM PST, introducing the first new skin for Invisible Woman named Malice. This skin will showcase a darker side of the hero, reflecting the character's villainous alter ego from the comics. Alongside the Malice skin, players can look forward to an array of exciting updates including new maps, a new game mode, and an expansive battle pass.
In the comic universe, Malice represents the darker persona of Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman. As Malice, Sue engaged in villainous acts and even battled her own family, including Mister Fantastic. This internal conflict between Sue and Malice was a significant plot point, culminating in Sue's attempt to merge with Malice to resolve their internal war. This eventually led to Sue purging Malice from her psyche. The introduction of the Malice skin in Marvel Rivals has sparked considerable excitement among fans, eager to see this iconic transformation in the game.
NetEase Games revealed the Malice skin through a Twitter clip, showcasing a striking design with black leather, red accents, and spikes on the mask, shoulders, and thigh-high boots. A split red cape adds to the menacing look, distinguishing it from other skins in the game, such as Mister Fantastic's Maker skin. Players will be able to acquire this new cosmetic when Season 1 launches on January 10.
Invisible Woman's Abilities in Marvel Rivals
A recent gameplay trailer highlighted Invisible Woman's ability kit, positioning her as a Strategist in Marvel Rivals. Her primary attack not only heals allies but also provides them with a forward-facing shield for added protection. Her ultimate ability creates an invisible zone that heals allies within it, offering strategic advantages by concealing them from distant enemies. While primarily a support character, Invisible Woman also possesses offensive capabilities, including an ability to create a tunnel that knocks away foes.
Seasonal Updates and Future Content
NetEase Games has outlined plans for seasonal updates in Marvel Rivals, with each season expected to last approximately three months. A major update will occur six to seven weeks into the season, introducing new maps, characters, and balance changes. While Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic will be available at the launch of Season 1, fans will have to wait for the mid-season update to experience Human Torch and The Thing. With such a robust lineup of content on the horizon, the anticipation for Season 1 is palpable among the game's community.
