InZOI’s Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has provided insights into the supernatural and paranormal features that will be part of the game.
As explained by Game Director Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, players will eventually be able to take control of ghosts, though with certain limitations to maintain balance with the core gameplay. This ability connects to a karma system that records character actions and shapes their future lives in meaningful ways. Interestingly, this impact continues even after a character dies.

In particular, the karma system and each character's behavior will affect what happens after death: they can either pass peacefully into the afterlife or remain on Earth as a ghost. To move on from the living world, a ghost must earn the necessary karma points it lacks.
During early access, ghosts will already appear in InZOI, but the ability to control them will come later. The developer stressed that InZOI is fundamentally a life simulation game, meaning paranormal elements will be included in moderation. That said, the team has hinted that other mysterious events may be added down the line.
