Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam (PC), Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is currently open.
Larian aims to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and stability issues before its official release. Crossplay functionality, described as a significant undertaking, is a key focus of the stress test. Players are encouraged to register and participate in crossplay campaigns, either with friends or by finding groups on the Larian Studios Discord server.
Although Patch 8 marks the game's final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the modding community. Future updates will enhance modding tools, enabling players to create and share even more extensive custom content. Since September's release of official modding tools, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
