Curious about the new Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a late-game feature that let you craft custom weapons with the stats and elements you desire, tailoring your gear to your playstyle. Let's delve into how you can unlock and craft these unique Artian weapons, and where to find the necessary materials.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Unlocking Artian weapons requires you to complete the main story and reach High Rank. After that, you must defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this monster by the NPCs' comments on its toughness and scars. Once you've triumphed over this challenging beast, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial on how to craft them.

Each Artian weapon requires three components, each with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, the components must share the same rarity value. The weapon's elemental effect depends on the predominant element among the components. For instance, using two water and one lightning component results in a water weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, but using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion.

The Artian bonus offers either an attack boost, which increases your weapon's damage, or an affinity boost, which enhances your critical hit chance. Choose the bonus that aligns with your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need to gather Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Tempered Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds

Obtaining Artian materials involves hunting Tempered monsters in High Rank. After defeating your first Tempered monster, you'll start encountering one or two in each area. These monsters are marked with a blue outline on the map, and you'll receive notifications when they're nearby.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster will yield Artian parts, which you can find among your rewards alongside decorations. As your Hunter Rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also increase, naturally progressing as you advance. There's no strict correlation between the monster you hunt and the Artian drops you receive, so focus on hunting the monsters you enjoy fighting or those that drop parts needed for other weapons or armor.
