*League of Legends* has introduced an engaging new minigame in its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll find the gameplay of Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends* quite intuitive.
League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started
To dive into Demon’s Hand, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. This will kick off the game's narrative introduction and lead you straight into your first round of the card game.

Your hand is displayed at the bottom of the screen. In the bottom right corner, you'll find your health, coins, and percent crit chance. Above this, the Sigil box is located where you can have up to six Sigils active at a time, starting with none. Remember, your health doesn't automatically regenerate after battles; instead, seek out tent locations on the map to restore a percentage of your health.
The enemy card sits at the top of the screen, with its health and damage shown in the bottom right and left corners, respectively. To the left of the enemy card, the attack coin indicates how many hands you can play before the enemy retaliates. The book on the left edge of the screen lists all possible attacking hands and their standard base damage.
How To Play Demon’s Hand in League of Legends

To deal damage, you'll play poker hands, renamed in Demon’s Hand but following the same principles. The ultimate goal is to achieve The Demon’s Hand, a royal flush. Here’s a breakdown of the hands you can play, along with their poker equivalents and base damage:
- Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
- Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
- Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
- Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
- Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
- March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
- Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
- Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
- Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
- The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)
Each card's number value adds to the base damage of your hand. Be aware, if the enemy has a special ability that negates a specific suit, those cards will be marked as invalid, and their value won't contribute to the damage.
Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils
Sigils add an extra layer of strategy. These are acquired during store phases, marked by coins on the map, which you earn by defeating enemies. Each Sigil offers unique abilities, visible by hovering over them in the store or during a round. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like boosting the damage of Dyads, while others may grant additional turns before enemy attacks or reduce incoming damage.
This guide should help you master the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If this minigame doesn't catch your interest, look forward to the exciting April Fools skins coming to Summoner’s Rift.
