This guide explores the Trial of the Sekhemas, a challenging yet rewarding endgame activity in Path of Exile 2, inspired by the Sanctum from the original game. While not a main quest, it's crucial for early progression and offers valuable loot.
Quick Access
The Trial of the Sekhemas presents a significant challenge, particularly for less powerful characters. Success yields substantial rewards, making it a worthwhile endeavor.
Unlocking the Trial of the Sekhemas
To initiate the Trial, you must first defeat Balbala the Traitor, a formidable boss located within Traitor's Passage in Act 2. Her swift, powerful attacks make her a difficult opponent, especially early in the game. Victory over Balbala rewards you with Balbala's Barya, the key to accessing the Trial.
After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas location, accessible via the Ardura's travel map or a Waypoint. You'll find a dilapidated temple where Balbala, now acting as a guide, awaits. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin your Trial.
