- Plants Vs Zombies returns with a brand-new remastered edition
- The original game receives a fresh HD makeover and new content in PvZ: Replanted
- Enjoy local co-op and PvP modes, though a mobile release may take longer
Plants Vs Zombies. A legendary title that stands alongside mobile gaming giants like Clash of Clans, Fruit Ninja, and Jetpack Joyride. It's the perfect example to cite when someone dismisses mobile games as "not real gaming." Now, prepare to revisit 2009 with the upcoming Plants Vs Zombies: Replanted!
This is no joke or imaginary tale—the iconic tower defense classic is officially making its way back to mobile with a complete remaster. Get ready for upscaled HD visuals, local cooperative play, player-versus-player modes, and a whole compost heap of new features when it launches on October 23rd.
Challenge your Brainz with the new Cloudy Day Mode. If you thought you had mastered PvZ already, this mode will test your skills with limited sunlight and restricted planting options for a truly hardcore experience.

For Plant Fans
Classic minigames are also making a comeback, along with everything else you love about PvZ. On top of that, you'll get access to an extensive archive of Plants vs. Zombies content, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how PopCap Studios became a mobile gaming icon.
The only potential downside is that it remains unclear whether PvZ: Replanted will see a broad mobile release. I know, it sounds almost sacrilegious! So far, the confirmed platforms (aside from console-exclusive storefronts and PC) include the EA App and Epic Games Store, both of which are available on mobile.
If EA plans to limit this significant remaster to third-party stores, that in itself is major news. However, without a confirmed mobile version of PvZ Replanted, it does cast a shadow over our otherwise sunny outlook.
Regardless, we still have some time before more details emerge. In the meantime, why not explore our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week?
