What’s in Store for the New Year’s 2025 Event in Pokémon Go?
The New Year’s 2025 event in Pokémon Go is scheduled to run from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While this year's event doesn't introduce new Pokémon, Shinies, or costumes, it still promises plenty of fun.
During the event, you can encounter wild spawns such as Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat, all with the potential to be Shiny. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and festive fireworks that will light up the skies, adding a celebratory touch.
Tier One raids will feature Pikachu wearing a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids will showcase Raticate and Wobbuffet, both dressed in party hats, with an increased chance of encountering Shiny versions. Engage in Field Research tasks and participate in PokéStop Showcases for opportunities to encounter themed Pokémon.
