PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: 12 Teams Remain!
The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), held as part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. The initial field of 24 teams has been cut in half, leaving 12 contenders vying for a share of the $3 million prize pool.
For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's a significant esports tournament showcasing top games, with PUBG Mobile being a key participant. Currently, Alliance leads the pack.
The remaining 12 teams will enjoy a short break before the final stage, scheduled for July 27th and 28th. However, the competition isn't over for everyone.
Global Impact and Future Events
While the EWC's overall impact is yet to be fully assessed, the PUBG Mobile World Cup has generated considerable buzz. It's important to note, however, that this isn't the largest event on the PUBG Mobile esports calendar; other major tournaments are planned for later this year.
The 12 eliminated teams will have a second chance in the Survival Stage, taking place July 23rd-24th. Two teams will earn a spot in the final stage through this intense competition.
