EA’s upcoming Star Wars turn-based tactics game is set to make its debut at Star Wars Celebration 2025, offering fans their first official glimpse into the project. Originally announced in early 2022, the game is being developed by Bit Reactor—a studio formed by former Firaxis Games veterans known for their work on the acclaimed XCOM series. The team has collaborated closely with Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind the Star Wars Jedi series, to bring this new strategic vision to life within the beloved Star Wars universe.
The reveal will take place during a live panel scheduled for April 19, featuring key members of the development team from both Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment, alongside representatives from Lucasfilm Games. This panel promises insights directly from the creators, giving attendees and viewers a deeper understanding of the game's direction and design philosophy.

Meanwhile, Respawn Entertainment continues work on the third installment of its Star Wars Jedi saga, though it won’t be showcased at this year’s Celebration. Previously, Respawn had also been developing an untitled Star Wars first-person shooter rumored to feature a Mandalorian protagonist, but that project was ultimately canceled as part of a larger restructuring effort at EA that led to the loss of approximately 670 jobs. Earlier this March, the studio also quietly shelved a multiplayer FPS incubation project following internal adjustments.
Beyond gaming news, Lucasfilm will also treat fans to exclusive previews at the event, including a sneak peek at The Mandalorian & Grogu film slated for release in May 2026, as well as a first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
