The highly anticipated Wingspan Asia Expansion is set to launch later this year, bringing a wealth of new content to this beloved strategy video game. While the exact release date remains under wraps, fans can look forward to an exciting array of new features, including a variety of new birds, a novel game mode, and breathtaking new sceneries from across Asia.

Full Details on Wingspan Asia Expansion

The Wingspan Asia Expansion will introduce stunning new additions from the diverse landscapes of Asia. Players will encounter beautiful birds from countries like India, China, and Japan, each with unique abilities and intriguing trivia that enhance the gameplay experience.

The expansion will include 13 new bonus cards, two of which are specifically tailored for the Automa mode, enriching the solo play experience. Additionally, four new backgrounds inspired by various Asian landscapes and eight new player portraits reflecting local cultural influences will be added, making your game visually richer than ever.

A new game mode, the Duet Mode, will offer an intense one-on-one experience. Players will compete on a special Duet Map, vying for habitat spaces and striving to meet different end-of-round goals, adding a competitive edge to the game.

Audio enhancements are also on the horizon, with Paweł Górniak contributing four new relaxing music tracks to the soundtrack. These tracks promise to elevate the ambiance of your bird-watching and strategizing sessions.

Tried the Game Yet?

Wingspan, adapted from Elizabeth Hargrave's acclaimed card-based board game, first made its digital debut on PC in 2020, followed by mobile versions in 2021. In this engaging game, players work to attract the best birds to their wildlife preserves, creating powerful combinations that mirror the dynamics of real-life ecosystems. With a limited number of turns, strategic decisions on food, egg-laying, and card draws are crucial. The birds you collect will behave like their real-world counterparts, with hawks hunting, pelicans fishing, and geese flocking together.

While waiting for the Asia Expansion, players can explore the existing European and Oceania expansions available on the Google Play Store.
