MiHoYo's upcoming action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, unveiled exciting new content in a recent pre-release livestream. This version 1.0 showcase, just before the game's July 4th launch, offers a final glimpse at new playable areas and characters.
Set in a post-apocalyptic New Eridu, the last human city after the devastating Hollows event, players take on the role of a "Proxy." Departing from MiHoYo's usual sci-fi and fantasy settings, Zenless Zone Zero ventures into a unique urban fantasy world. The game's emphasis on music is evident in the livestream, which prominently featured a musical performance alongside gameplay demonstrations.
With a July 4th release date, Zenless Zone Zero joins MiHoYo's impressive portfolio, built on the massive success of Genshin Impact. This new title's urban fantasy setting distinguishes it from the sci-fi and fantasy themes of Honkai and Genshin Impact.
Will MiHoYo become a mobile gaming giant like Supercell? Only time will tell if Zenless Zone Zero will be another massive hit or a bit too ambitious.
