After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the world remains open for you to explore. The game's expansive setting in Feudal Japan is filled with side content that remains accessible, allowing you to delve deeper into the environment and its offerings.
Moreover, Ubisoft will introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to engage with.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Rolling credits doesn't mean the end of the journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you'll need to finish the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and associated achievements.
As you approach the endgame, you can also earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets not only enhance each protagonist’s unique play style with special perks but also offer designs that resonate with long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
Players can continue to progress well beyond the credits, reaching the game's maximum level cap.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the adventure doesn't stop there. Ubisoft plans to add new content via the Animus, alongside updates to the in-game store featuring new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, introducing over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
