Bam Margera, despite being initially omitted from the announced roster for the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, is now confirmed to be part of the game's final lineup. This exciting update was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that the game was essentially completed when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, requesting Bam Margera's inclusion. Although initially told it was impossible, Hawk's determination ensured Margera's addition to the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comments on this development.Bam Margera, known not only as a former professional skateboarder but also for his starring role in the Jackass franchise, has faced well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. His challenges led to his dismissal from Jackass Forever and resulted in a restraining order against him by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats.
The recent sighting of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together, which they shared in a video, sparked initial speculation about Margera's potential return to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series.
Set to launch on July 11, 2025, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will be available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, this project has remarkably recovered from near cancellation following the merger of its previous developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
