April is shaping up to be an exhilarating month for Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) players, with the introduction of exciting new content and champions. Kicking off the month, fans will be introduced to Spider-Woman, known as Jessica Drew in the Marvel Universe. Her origin story is as compelling as her abilities; as a child, Jessica was exposed to uranium, leading her father, a brilliant geneticist, to experiment with spider DNA to save her life. After a long recovery, Jessica emerged not only healed but endowed with remarkable spider powers, eventually taking on the mantle of Spider-Woman. Players can add this dynamic new champion to their roster starting April 17th.
But before Spider-Woman swings into action, another intriguing character, Lumatrix, will make his debut on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as a lethal assassin, Lumatrix uses his unique light-based powers to infiltrate and eliminate targets with unparalleled efficiency.
What Else Is New?
On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with dramatic intensity. Carina suffers severe injuries after encountering Ouroborus forces, while an unexpected alliance forms between Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four. The ominous spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the tension, introducing a new villain named Lotan to the fray.
A thrilling new Event Quest, "Spy Games," will commence on April 9th and continue until May 7th. Black Widow takes the lead in unraveling the mysteries surrounding the Eidols, enlisting the help of Spider-Woman to crack the case.
The iconic Dark Phoenix returns in a Side Quest known as "Dark Bounties," where she places bounties on various champions. Players must hunt down these targets to claim their rewards.
Additionally, the Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector makes a comeback, offering players a chance to deploy their strongest Saga champions to earn valuable rewards such as Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
