Let me be frank: George Miller stands as my all-time favorite director. He's the visionary mastermind behind two of my most cherished film franchises - the adrenaline-fueled Mad Max series and, unexpectedly, the delightful Happy Feet movies (yes, including its sequel, which deserves more recognition). Apologies - I can't help gushing about Happy Feet.
The Mad Max films uniquely combine raw 1980s action energy with a hallucinatory depiction of post-apocalyptic Australia. Following the original trilogy's release between 1979 and 1985, the franchise appeared to be complete, frozen in time. Then, after Miller's dance with penguin musicals, he astonishingly revived the series that launched his career.
In 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road (now with Tom Hardy replacing Mel Gibson as Max), Miller delivered a cinematic masterpiece that earned six Academy Awards. While the recent Furiosa prequel didn't match its commercial success, I maintain that Mad Max remains one of cinema's greatest action franchises.
As we celebrate Fury Road's 10th anniversary, I wholeheartedly recommend a Mad Max marathon. Here's how to stream every Mad Max movie online.

Optimal Viewing Order
While you could watch chronologically - placing Furiosa before Fury Road - I strongly recommend saving Furiosa for last. Like all effective prequels, its most powerful moments resonate when you're already familiar with Fury Road's characters and world.
Future of the Franchise
George Miller initially suggested Furiosa's performance would determine the franchise's future. While its box office reception was lukewarm, recent reports indicate Miller has a script ready for another Mad Max installment - likely the long-rumored Fury Road sequel "The Wasteland." However, with other projects competing for Miller's attention and studios potentially hesitant about another major investment, fans may need to wait patiently for Max's next desert adventure.
