Dream Patrols are combat encounters in Wuthering Waves that offer unique challenges for players to overcome. While generally straightforward, certain patrols, like the Knight in a Storm, can present difficulties, particularly if players are unfamiliar with their special mechanics.
The Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol is especially tricky. The enemy itself isn't hard to defeat, but players aiming to collect all chests for resources like Astrites and Monnaie will need to complete every challenge objective. Here's how to master this particular trial.
How to Finish Dream Patrol: Knight in a Storm

This Dream Patrol is located in the Shores of Last Breath area, within the Fagaceae Peninsula east of Ragunna City. It appears on your map as a crossed swords icon, which becomes visible after activating the area's Resonance Nexus. The quickest route is to teleport to the nearby Tacet Field that yields the new Sonata set for Carlotta. Note that this area is inaccessible until you complete the Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms quest.
The Questless Knight in this encounter fights similarly to other knights found in Rinascita, so defeating it shouldn't be an issue. The specific battle objectives are:
- Maintain Battle Rank S for over 10 seconds - Boost your Battle Rank by executing perfect dodges, parries, and using abilities (including Intro/Outro skills).
- Execute 3 Counterattacks that interrupt the knight's weapon enhancement - Parry the knight's attacks while its weapon is buffed.
- Immobilize an enemy with Resonance Liberation DMG - Use your character's ultimate ability to stun the knight (deplete the white bar beneath its health).
Countering the Knight's Enhanced Weapon
During combat, the knight summons three swords and chooses one, indicating its weapon is enhanced. In this state, it will perform aerial lunge attacks—this is the ideal moment to counter. When the parry indicators above the knight align, strike it with an attack to successfully counter. Repeat this three times to complete the challenge.
If you're playing as Carlotta, you can parry the knight's attacks using her jump attack or any rifle shot. Carlotta fires rifle shots during her Resonance Liberation and whenever she has stacks of Molded Crystal (the crystal-shaped icon near her character).
