In the cutthroat world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 competitive multiplayer, countless final kills are captured and shared online. But few are as spectacular as this one.
The Ricochet Blades, unique ammo for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon (introduced with the infamous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event), quickly became a hot topic. Their unpredictable, bouncing trajectory makes them both fascinating and frustrating.
Player kev99gh captured a truly remarkable final kill in a hardcore Search and Destroy match on the Lowtown map. They launched a Ricochet Blade—affectionately nicknamed a "pizza" by the community—which bounced out of the map, then back in, securing a one-hit kill on an unsuspecting enemy peeking from a window.
Longest ricochet blade ever. Bounced a pizza out of the map. Final kill cam.

kev99gh's incredible clip might be the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded, thanks to its extraterrestrial bounce. The video shows kev99gh lining up the shot, releasing the blade into the void, then switching to the overhead map to track its improbable journey. The blade follows the map's edge before arcing back towards the window, delivering the final blow.
These elaborate trick shots aren't just dumb luck. Redditor SpawnTubing, who shared kev99gh's clip, explained that skilled players "look for and practice common camping spots." Commenters also highlighted the impeccable timing—the enemy player peeking precisely as the "pizza" reappeared—as peak Black Ops 6 gameplay. We've all been there.
The Ricochet Blades have spawned a new meta, with numerous (though less impressive) bounce kills surfacing online. Some, like the example below, involve multiple bounces before connecting.

However, not everyone is thrilled. Some players find the bouncing blades frustrating and annoying. These critics won't be pleased with Treyarch's recent buff, which improved the Ricochet Blades' physics and bouncing speed, making them one-hit kill weapons on contact. The relevant patch notes:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades was centered around rapidly launching numerous high-speed blades, intended for blind firing into enclosed spaces. We've reviewed your feedback and agree that the practical applications were limited. The Ricochet Blades will now deal 100 damage for one-hit kills. To compensate, we've reduced the fire rate and projectile speed. We believe these changes will spark renewed interest and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades
- Increased damage from 75 to 100.
- Decreased rate of fire.
- Decreased projectile velocity.
- Improved bouncing speeds and physics.
With Season 3 and Verdansk's return to Warzone on the horizon, the reign of the Ricochet Blades looks set to continue—and intensify.
