Disney+ is reportedly developing a live-action Power Rangers series.
According to The Wrap, Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz, the showrunners behind Percy Jackson and the Olympians, are in negotiations to write, showrun, and produce a live-action Power Rangers series for Disney+ and 20th Century Television.
The Wrap also notes that franchise owner Hasbro aims to reimagine Power Rangers for a new generation while maintaining the loyalty of its existing fanbase.

The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was a staple of 1990s children's television, captivating a generation with its team of teenage superheroes and their giant robotic mechs that could combine into an even larger machine.
Hasbro purchased the Power Rangers franchise and other brands from original owner Saban Properties in 2018 for $522 million, citing the brand's "tremendous upside potential."
"We see significant opportunity for Power Rangers across our entire Brand Blueprint, including toys and games, consumer products, digital gaming and entertainment, as well as geographically throughout our global retail footprint," stated Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s chairman and CEO, when the acquisition was announced.
This acquisition followed the unsuccessful 2017 film reboot, which presented a darker, grittier version of Power Rangers intended to launch a film series. Those plans were abandoned due to the movie's poor box office returns, leading Saban to sell the rights to Hasbro shortly thereafter.
Other notable Hasbro projects in development include a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series titled The Forgotten Realms at Netflix, an animated Magic: The Gathering series also at Netflix, and a broader Magic: The Gathering cinematic universe.
