In the upcoming FromSoftware game, *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, players will no longer have the ability to "leave a message" for others. Project Director Junya Ishizaki provided insights into this decision in a recent interview. He explained that the choice to disable the messaging feature stems from the game's session length, which averages about forty minutes. "With sessions lasting roughly forty minutes, there isn't enough time to send your own messages or read other people's messages, therefore we disabled the messaging feature," Ishizaki stated.
This decision may come as a surprise to fans, given that FromSoftware's games have traditionally embraced message-based interaction, enhancing player enjoyment and interactivity. However, the development team concluded that this feature was not suitable for *Elden Ring: Nightreign*.
It's important to note that *Nightreign* does not directly connect to the narrative of the original *Elden Ring*. Instead, it offers a fresh adventure filled with unique challenges and encounters, all while preserving the atmospheric and intricate essence of the *Elden Ring* world.
