This delay comes after nearly a decade of development, during which Lost Soul Aside evolved from a personal passion project of solo developer Yang Bing into a significant title under Sony's China Hero Project. Yang Bing, now the founder and CEO of Ultizero Games, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received since the game's announcement.
"To deliver the high-quality experience we’ve envisioned," the developer stated, "we need additional time to refine the game. We are committed to meeting our own standards and ensuring Lost Soul Aside meets the expectations of our fans worldwide."
The game follows protagonist Kesar, who wields a versatile, shape-shifting weapon capable of altering gameplay styles. Players are also accompanied by Arena, a dragon-like entity that supports Kesar with special abilities. Drawing inspiration from franchises like Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry, Lost Soul Aside promises intense aerial dodges, precise combat mechanics, intricate combos, counterattacks, and monumental boss battles.
Set against a backdrop of sci-fi elements and contemporary aesthetics, the narrative unfolds across multiple dimensions, with Kesar's journey described as one of "redemption and discovery." Despite the delay, fans eagerly anticipate the polished final product, hoping it lives up to the hype built over years of anticipation.
